Isabelle Ann (DePizzo) Kostas

Isabelle Ann Kostas, 88, lifelong resident of Sharpsville passed away April 5th, 2024 in St. Paul’s Homes with her family by her side.

Isabelle was born November 7th, 1935 to James A. and Rose M. (Mango) DePizzo at their home in Sharpsville, PA. She was a graduate of Sharpsville High School class of 1953. She worked at DePizzo’s grocery store, which was owned by her father. On June 12th, 1954 she married her husband, Gus A. Kostas Sr., who survives at home. She was a lifelong member of St. Bartholomew R.C. Church. Her and Gus enjoyed attending summer festivals and listening to Italian music together. Isabelle was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who cherished time with her family. She loved celebrating the holidays with her family, cooking and caring for them every chance she could. Isabelle always enjoyed attending her children and grandchildren’s activities. She was also a Pittsburgh Steelers and Cleveland Cavilers Fan.

She is survived by her husband, Gus Sr. at home, children, Gus A. Kostas Jr. of Sharon, Ramona Sumner of Sharon, Monica (Mark) Lukasko of Sharpsville, Nina (Mark) Ricciutti OD of Hermitage, Pete Kostas of Cleveland, OH, Angelo (Dana) Kostas of Poland, OH, grandchildren, Mark Lukasko, Marisa (Anthony) Nolfi III, Michaelene Cooper, Ashtin (Eric) Graham, Cole Zahuranec, Abby Kutz, Kyle Sumner, Christian Sumner, great grandchildren, Nicoletta, Nina, Anthony, Vittorio Nolfi, Nico, August Cooper, Jack, Avery, Grace Graham, Gabriela Zahuranec, Paulie Kutz.

Isabelle was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Constance DePizzo, Rose Pomper, and Joanne Totin.

The family would like to thank Gentiva Hospice and the staff at St. Paul’s for their excellent care.

Memorial contributions may be sent to the Alzheimer’s Association in memory of Isabelle.

Friends may call Wednesday April 10th, 2024 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm in St. Bartholomew R.C. Church 311 W. Ridge Ave. Sharpsville, PA.

Mass of Christian Burial will take place Wednesday April 10th, 2024 at 12:00 pm in St. Bartholomew R.C. Church with Father Richard Allen officiating.

Burial will take place in St. Mary’s Cemetery Hermitage, PA.
