Joe was born on March 31st, 1934 to Albert and Jennie (Rosa) DelFratte in Sharpsville, PA. He was a graduate of Sharpsville High School and worked as an electrician for the IBEW for 32 years. After high school Joe served in the US Navy during the Korean War aboard the USS Coral Sea. Church where he was instrumental in overseeing the electrical work on projects like the elevator and restoring the church bells after a long absence.  Joe also participated in numerous fundraisers through the Holy Name Society, of which he was a longtime member. Joe was a member of the Sharpsville Service Club where he volunteered as a Santa Claus for the yearly Christmas tradition and was a founding member of the Sharpsville Boosters Club and the original Sharpsville Carnival.  Joe loved Sharpsville and his lifelong friends and he participated in the “River Rats” club, the Sharpsville bowling league for over 60 years, and Thursday night euchre club.  He was a longtime member of the Sharpsville VFW where he served as past commander and was also the last of 5 members who remodeled the VFW. He enjoyed golfing with his friends as often as possible.  Joe will always be remembered as a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather.

Joe is survived by his loving wife Beverly, daughters, Melinda DelFratte and wife, Kristi Williams of Columbus, OH, Joni DelFratte and fiancé, Ron Masotto of Sharpsville, granddaughter, Autumn and husband, Adam Metzger of Hermitage, great grandchildren, Avery and Ada Metzger, sister, Lucy Guerino, and son-in-law, David Krivicich.

To Bev and the entire DelFratte Family,

We were so sorry to learn of the loss of Joe. it was my honor to be his physician for many years, he was a great man and a hard worker. He was a fellow electrician of Sherry's father who referred to him lovingly as Joe" the rat" Delfratte- they had nicknames for all the brotherhood of electrical workers. You are all in our thoughts and prayers.
Sincerley,
Doc and Sherry
