Anna C. (Stiggi) Caputo

Anna C. Caputo, 96, of Sharpsville passed away peacefully on May 4th, 2024 in UPMC Farrell Hospital.

Anna was born October 27th, 1927 to Mary (Rosa) and August Stiggi in Sharon, PA. After graduating high school, Anna also graduated from the Youngstown School of Cosmetology. Anna worked as a hairdresser for Elenas Beauty Shop in Sharpsville. On August 21st, 1948 she married her husband, the late Henry V. Caputo who passed away February 10th, 2019.

She was a long-time member of St. Bartholomew’s R.C. Church in Sharpsville where she was active in the Altar & Rosary Society and the St. Olivia Society. Anna attended every morning mass for over 30 years. She enjoyed traveling with her husband on bus trips, to casinos, and to Philadelphia for 19 years to visit the St. John Neumann Shrine. Most important to her was her family, especially her grandchildren.

Anna is survived by her grandchildren, Lindsay (Bryan) Zirpolo, Jeremy McKean, sister-in-law, Anna Rose Caputo, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Christine “Tina” McKean, husband Henry V. Caputo, son in law, Larry McKean, sister, Josephine Fammartino, brother, Anthony Stiggi, and brother-in-law, William Caputo.

Friends may gather Tuesday May 7th, 2024 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am in St. Bartholomew R.C. Church 311 W. Ridge Ave. Sharpsville, PA.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday May 7th, 2024 at 11:00 am in St. Bartholomew R.C. Church with Father Richard Allen officiating.

Entombment will take place in St. Rose Mausoleum next to her husband.
