C. Marie Greenawalt, 100, of Sharpsville passed away peacefully on February 26th, 2025 in UPMC Farrell Hospital.
Marie was born June 21st, 1924 to Margaret (Myers) and John Warmoth in Saint Joseph, MO. She was a 1943 graduate of Hickory High School. On June 28th, 1944 she married her husband, the late James L. Greenawalt who passed away November 4th, 2011. They shared 68 years of marriage together. Marie was co-owner of Shenango Auto Body and owner / operator of Cameo Beauty Salon for 27 years.
She attended St. Joseph Church in Sharon, was a member of the Sharpsville VFW, and past member of the Clark Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. Marie loved to hunt and fish, especially with her grandchildren. Her and her husband also enjoyed driving their motor home to Canada to fish.
Marie is survived by her daughter, Lisa (Thomas) Kuncio of Clark, son, John (Bonnie) Greenawalt of Sharpsville, grandchildren, Brian (Mary) Greenawalt, William (Wendy) Greenawalt, Bradley (Lori) Greenawalt, Randy (Chris) Greenawalt, Michael (Leanne) Chalupka, Christine (Jim) Miodrag, Jessica (Jeff) Liposky, Justin Kuncio, 23 great grandchildren, and 8 great great grandchildren. Also surviving is daughter in law, Rosemary “Bunny” Greenawalt son in law, Michael (Linda) Chalupka Sr. and their family, William, Matt, Whitney as well as their children, nephews, Randy (Cheryl) Stelk, and Terry (Judy) Stelk.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband James, daughter, Karen Chalupka, son, Robert Greenawalt, granddaughter, Renee (Bob) Blum, and sister, Pauline Payne.
Friends may call Monday March 3rd, 2025 from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm in the SHERMAN Funeral Home 2201 Highland Rd. Hermitage, PA.
Funeral services will be held Monday March 3rd, 2025 at 6:00 pm in the funeral home.
Burial will take place in Riverside Cemetery next to her husband.
