Carol Jean (Hallock) Markovich

Carol Jean Markovich, 80 of Vienna, Ohio passed away peacefully on May 6th, 2025.

Carol was born May 25th, 1944, to Mary (Bucksar) and Albert Hallock in Warren, Ohio.  She was a graduate of Warren G Harding High School.  Carol worked as a dental assistant for Dr Trapp’s dental practice in Vienna and enjoyed many work trips. 

She was a member of St Michael’s Byzantine Catholic Church in Hermitage.  Carol was devoted to her family and friends and enjoyed hosting parties and family gatherings.  She collected magnets from all the places she traveled to with her husband and family.  She was well known for loving her chocolate and sweets and her memorable smile.  She enjoyed supporting her children in their multiple endeavors taking active parts to support their passions.

Carol is survived by her husband of 57 years, Richard, daughter Dr Renee Markovich and her wife Donna Donaldson, daughter – in – law Jodi Markovich, grandchildren Jerry (Lilly), Christopher, Sazah, and great grandson Leon. Carol also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and one very special niece, Marie (Rick) Shreves. Also surviving are her grand dogs Gracie and Benny. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, son, Todd A Markovich, brothers, John Hallock, Michael Hallock, sisters, Mary Hallock and Elizabeth Colello.

Friends may call Saturday May 24th, 2025 from 10:30 am to 11:30 am in St. Michaels Byzantine Catholic Church 2230 Highland Rd. Hermitage, PA.

Memorial divine liturgy will be held Saturday May 24th, 2025 at 11:30 am in the church with the Very Rev. Kevin E. Marks, officiating.

In lieu of flowers donations may be sent to The Village of St Edwards Green Memory Care and Crossroads Hospice.
