Colette A. Layshock, 88, of Sharpsville passed away peacefully on July 20th, 2024 with her family at her side.
Colette was born December 22nd, 1935 to Mary Ann (Roch) and Clarence Elroy Brown in Cleveland, OH. She was a graduate of Hartford High School. On August 8th, 1953 she married her husband, the late Lawrence J. Layshock who passed away October 12th, 2019. She worked many years for JC Penny in the housewares department. Colette was a member of St. Bartholomew R.C. church in Sharpsville. She enjoyed flower gardening, crocheting, baking, and was an avid reader. Colette was also a member of the Veseljaci Tamburitza or Farrell, PA.
Surviving are her children, Rose (Walt) Turuck, Suzy (Ron) Taylor, Cindy (Mike) Allshouse, Don (Cherie) Layshock, Katy (Bob) Malaniak, 11 grandchildren, Jenny Turuck, Stephanie Turuck, Valerie Taylor, Adam Allshouse, Dan Allshouse, Melissa Allshouse, Jason Allshouse, Justin Layshock, Brittany (Cory) Riffe, Patrick (Emily) Layshock, Mikhaila (Christopher) Galantis, 9 great grandchildren, Madison, Noah, Marcel, Jayna, Sebastian, Alana, Ethan, Amelia, and Victor.
The family would like to thank Kathy Mueller, her beloved caregiver and Dave, Sherry and Cathy from the Mercer County Senior Center, and especially Larry her MCCT driver.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Lawrence Layshock.
Friends may call Wednesday July 24th, 2024 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm in the SHERMAN Funeral Home 2201 Highland Rd. Hermitage, PA.
Mass of Christian Burial will take place in St. Bartholomew R.C. Church 311 W. Ridge Ave. Sharpsville Thursday July 25th, 2024 at 10:00 am with Father Glen Whitman officiating. Friends are welcome to meet directly at church.
Burial will take place in Riverside Cemetery next to her husband.
