Dean M. Barca, 91, of Sharpsville passed away peacefully on March 12th, 2025 at the Concord Care Center of Hartford, Fowler, OH.
Dean was born December 12th, 1933 to Audrey L. (Davidson) and James Barca in Sharon, PA. He was a graduate of Sharon High School and Youngstown State University. Dean served in the US Army during the Korean War. On April 4th, 1953 he married his wife, the late Rev. Fay (Roberts) Barca who passed away December 28th, 2017.
He was a member of the Sharon First United Methodist Church. He assisted his wife during her time as a pastor at the Clark First United Methodist Church. In addition, they enjoyed traveling and spent time in Tokyo during his military service. They also traveled to the Holy Land and did mission work at Russian orphanages. Dean was also a member of the Sharpsville American Legion and Sharpsville VFW. He loved the outdoors and visiting with friends.
Dean is survived by his son, Dand Barca of Columbus, OH, Lisa Barca and Andrew Harenchar of Hermitage, grandchildren, Anthony Leon, Jonathan (Krissa) Barca, Aaron Barca, great grandchildren, Shiloh Barca, and Elowen Fay Barca and his beloved dachshund Red.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Rev. Fay Barca, and brother, James Barca.
Funeral services will be held privately.
Donations may be made in memory to the local Vets or Veterans organization.
Burial will take place in Mt. Washington Cemetery next to his wife.
