Dorothy (Milford) Burke

Dorothy (Milford) Burke, 99, of Sharpsville, passed away peacefully on July 15th, 2024 at Quality Life Services.

Dorothy was born November 1st, 1924 to Ethel M. (Smith) and Mead A. Milford in Bullion, PA. She was a graduate of Rocky Grove High School in 1942. On February 21st, 1945 she married her husband, George R. Burke who preceded her in death September 13th, 1984.  

She worked for Saegertown Company for 9 years until retiring. Dorothy enjoyed playing bingo and most importantly, loved spending time with her family.

She is survived by her, children, Sherry A. Chill of Sharon, Linda (Jack) Haylett of Farrell, Cynthia Faber of Warren, OH, Richard (Sharon) Burke of Clarks Mills, PA, grandchildren, Larry (Rhonda), Traci (Scott), Lori, David (Stacy), Mark (Heather), Michael (Jess), Chris (Amanda), several great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, George Burke, son, Brian J. Burke, sisters, Grace Foulds, Ruth Miller, Alma Smith, Irma Kelly, Ruby Milford, Jean Plyler, brothers, James Milford, Paul Milford, and Harry Milford.

Friends may call Friday July 19th, 2024 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm in the SHERMAN Funeral Home & Crematory 2201 Highland Rd. Hermitage, PA 16148.

Funeral services will be held Friday July 19th, 2024 at 12:00 pm in the funeral home with her nephew, Pastor Dennis Milford officiating.

Burial will take place in Oakwood Cemetery.
