Elizabeth Ann Zook, 88, of Sharpsville passed away peacefully on
February 1st, 2025 in Mercy Health St. Joseph Hospital Warren, OH.
Elizabeth was born April 27th, 1936 to Julia (Lichvarcik) and Joseph
Rend in Punxsutawney, PA. After graduating from high school, Elizabeth
earned her Registered Nurse degree. She worked for Sharon Regional
Hospital (labor and delivery) until her retirement. On May 31st, 1958
she married her husband, the late D. Richard Zook.
She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Sharpsville for
over 60 years. Elizabeth served as the recording secretary and Deacon.
She was a lifelong member of Eastern Star, and also participated in
Bundle Babies and the Joy Bible Study Group. Elizabeth enjoyed
reading, completing puzzles, crocheting, knitting, but her greatest
joy was spending time with friends and family.
Elizabeth is survived by her daughters, Karen Wiesen (Shane) of
Hubbard, OH, Kellee Ivey (David) of Tucson, AZ, son, Kristopher Zook
(Amanda) of Stevensville, MI, grandchildren, Andrew (Diem) Wiesen,
Samantha Wiesen, Harold (Jessica) Smith, Ben Smith, Adam Ivey, Norah
Zook, Eliza Zook, 3 great grandchildren (Eric, Oliver, and Aiden
Smith), sister, Grace Polito, brothers, Frank Rend, Tony Rend, and
Nick Rend.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband D. Richard Zook,
daughter, Kimberlee Smith, son in law, Harold Smith, granddaughter,
Rebekkah Wiesen, sister, Julie Zambory-Tenon, brothers, Joseph Rend, and Peter Rend.
Friends may call Wednesday February 5th, 2025 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm
in the SHERMAN Funeral Home 2210 Highland Rd. Hermitage, PA and also
Thursday February 6th, 2025 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am in the First
Presbyterian Church of Sharpsville 603 W. Ridge Ave. Sharpsville, PA.
Funeral services will be held Thursday February 6th, 2025 at 11:00 am
in the First Presbyterian Church of Sharpsville with Pastor Mike
Carlin officiating.
Burial will take place in Riverside Cemetery next to her husband.
