Frances Marian (Keller) Egelsky, 86, of Transfer, passed away on Friday May 13th, 2016 at White Cliff Health and Rehabilitation Center in Greenville, PA following a brief illness.
Frances was born on August 8th, 1929 to Wendell and Anna (Lehrmeyer) Keller in Sharon, PA. She graduated from Transfer High School class of 1947. Frances worked at Creative Daycare, was a farmer and a homemaker. On January 29th, 1948 she married the late Frank Egelsky Jr., who passed away on July 21st, 1988.
She was a member of St. John’s Orthodox Church in Hermitage, PA. Frances enjoyed playing cards and loved her animals. Most important to her was spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
Frances is survived by her two daughters, Linda J. Sayers of Transfer, PA with whom she made her home, Angela M. Thompson and her companion Ed Carpenter of Transfer, PA; two sons, Frank (Kathleen A.) Egelsky, III of Columbus, OH, Christopher Egelsky of Transfer, PA; two granddaughters, Michelle (Paul) McMahon of Transfer, PA, Nichole Sayers of Transfer, PA; grandson, Chad (Marina) Egelsky of Chapin, SC; three great grandchildren, Danica M. McMahon, Brisia A. Egelsky; and Logan A. Egelsky.
She was preceded in death by father, Wendell Keller, mother, Anna Keller, husband, Frank Egelsky, Jr., sister, Mary Shehan, sister, Josephine Means, sister, Kathryn Klingensmith, brother, Frank Keller, brother, Philip Keller, grandson, Aaron Egelsky, and son-in-law, Robert Sayers.
Friends may call Tuesday, May 17th, 2016, from 9:00 am to 10:45 am at Stephen J. Sherman Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 2201 Highland Rd. Hermitage, PA.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 17th, 2016, 11:00 am at St. John's Orthodox Church in Hermitage, PA, with Father David Mastroberte, officiating.
Burial will take place in the St. John's Orthodox Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. John’s Orthodox Church Building Fund, in memory of Frances.
