Gloria Rowe Obituary
Gloria Jean Rowe, 70, of Hermitage, passed away on Monday January 21st, 2019 at UPMC Passavant in Pittsburgh, PA.
Gloria was born on August 16th, 1948 to John and Glady (Campbell) Clark in Sharon, PA. She graduated from Sharon High School and attended Penn State University. Gloria worked for Kraynaks, Whitner Smiths, West Middlesex Schools, Clepper’s Personal Care, Nugent Personal Care, and Mercer County Child Care Center as a teacher’s aide. On August 26th, 1967 she married her husband, the late Larry Lee Rowe, who passed away February 13th, 2016.
She enjoyed camping, 4-wheeling, ice fishing, snowmobile riding, cleaning houses, babysitting, making blankets for military servicemen, baking, and cooking big meals for her family and friends.
Gloria is survived by her son, Gary Allen (Gloria) Rowe, of Sharpsville, PA, daughters, Lisa Lynn (Jamie) Maxwell of Sharpsville, PA, Melissa Sue (Josiah) Kelley of Hermitage, PA, 3 granddaughters, 3 grandsons, 7 great grandchildren, sister, Janet Lee (Dave) Bodien of Masury, OH, brothers, Timothy Allen (Ellen) Clark of Albermarle, NC, and James (Martha) Clark of Sharpsville, PA.
She was preceded in death by father, John Lewis Clark, mother, Glady Marie Clark, brother, John Lewis Clark Jr, sisters, Betty Lou Clark, and Shirley Ann Lary.
Friends may call Thursday January 24th, 2019 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at SHERMAN Funeral Home & Cremation Service 2201 Highland Rd. Hermitage, PA.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday January 24th, 2019 at 7:00 pm in the SHERMAN Funeral Home with Pastor Jim Fleck, officiating.
Burial will take place in Mount Washington Cemetery.
