Guy Earl D'Eramo, 94, of Transfer, passed away peacefully on October 6th, 2017 at his home in Transfer, PA.
Guy was born on February 27th, 1923 to Angelo and Mary (Traficant) D'Eramo in Youngstown, OH. He graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School class of 1942 and from Pennsylvania State University. He was a veteran who served in World War II in the U.S. Army Air Corps. Guy worked as a carpenter and supervisor for the carpenter’s local 171 and 268. On February 8th, 1975 he married his wife Virginia (Reimold) D’Eramo, who survives at home.
He was a member of the Church of Notre Dame in Hermitage. Guy enjoyed traveling the United States and Italy with his wife. He was also an avid Big Ten football fan, especially Penn State where he attended games. Guy was known for his craftsman and carpentry skills. If he wasn’t at work he would be working on home improvements.
Guy is survived by his loving wife Virginia, son, James E. (Will Wake) D’Eramo of Manhattan, NY, sisters, Grace Ducay of Youngstown, OH, Jean Medina of Poland, OH, brother in laws, Michael Sultan of Youngstown, OH, William (Yvonne) Reimold of Breinigsville, PA, also surviving are many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by father, Angelo G. D'Eramo, mother, Mary D'Eramo, first wife, Philomena Manna D'Eramo (mother of James E.) an infant brother, James D’Eramo, sisters, Louise Blunt, Lola Petrolla, and Mary Frances Sultan.
Friends may call Tuesday, October 10th, 2017, from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm at the Stephen J. Sherman Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 2201 Highland Rd. Hermitage, PA.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, October 10th, 2017, 1:30 pm at the Church of Notre Dame with Very Rev. Richard J. Allen E.V., officiating.
Burial will take place in the Calvary Cemetery Youngstown, OH.
