John Budd Bishop of Hermitage was graciously received into the glorious presence of Christ on July 18, 2025, upon which he heard the merciful pronouncement of “well done my good and faithful servant.” Budd was born in Clearfield, PA on February 28, 1941 to Thomas “Bob” and Erie Bishop. He married Nancy L. Burchill on September 5, 1964 and was a devoted husband to her until her death in 2018. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, an infant sister Rose Marie, and a beloved grandson, JT Palovsky in 2024. Left to remember and carry on his legacy of faithfulness are his children: Rob (Jesus) of Las Vegas, NV; Lori Palovsky (John) of Sharpsville, PA; and Todd (Nancy) of Cochran, GA. He also leaves a beloved sister Rose Mary Akers (Don) of Mansfield, OH and 3 brothers in law: Gene Burchill; Joe (Joy) Burchill; and Paul (Anna Mae) Burchill. Also surviving are 7 grandchildren: Megan England (Josh); Gavin Phoenix; Alex Phoenix (Heidi); Branden Phoenix (Griselda); Madison Smith (Chris); Camaryn Bishop; and Will Bishop. And 2 great-grandchildren Alice and Freddie England with a third, Christopher Smith Jr, expected in October. As well as several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Neshannock Alliance Church missions fund to honor his legacy of love for missions.
Friends may call Monday July 21st, 2025 from 10:00 am to 11:30 am at Neshannock Alliance Church 3103 South Keel Ridge Rd. West Middlesex, PA.
Funeral service will be held Monday July 21st, 2025 at 11:30 am in Neshannock Alliance Church with Pastor Nathan Seckinger officiating.
Burial will take place in Riverside Cemetery Sharpsville, PA.
