Margaret M. “Peggy” Homer, 95, of West Middlesex passed away peacefully on Thursday August 22nd, 2024 with her family at her side.
Peggy was born December 31st, 1928 in West Middlesex, PA to Mary (Roscoe) and John Ondic. She was a graduate of Hubbard High School. On August 16th, 1952 she married her husband, the late Donald Ray Homer who passed away April 26th, 2018. Peggy worked as a secretary for GATX. She was a wonderful and dedicated homemaker to her family. Very family oriented, Peggy was a great cook, excellent at crocheting, and cared for her flower garden. She enjoyed golfing and earned a hole in one. Peggy was a member of a bowling league, Cub Scout Den Mother, and a member of the West Middlesex Women’s Club. She was active at Covenant Church and did devotions for her Sunday School class and was also a member of the Evangelism Team. She loved her kitties.
Peggy is survived by her son Douglas (Joan) Homer of Hubbard, OH, Gregory (Wendy) Homer, of West Middlesex, grandchildren, Michael (Katie) Homer, Bradley (Kristin) Homer, Tony (Lorin) Parenti, great grandchildren, Jack, Annalise, Benny, Lily, Logan, Hallie Homer, and Ivy Parenti.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Donald Ray Homer, and brother, Donald Ondic.
Memorial contributions may be sent to St. Jude Children’s Hospital in memory of Peggy.
Friends may call Sunday August 25th, 2024 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm in the SHERMAN Funeral Home 2201 Highland Rd. Hermitage, PA.
Funeral services will be held Monday August 26th, 2024 at 10:00 am in Covenant Presbyterian Church 263 E. State St. Sharon, PA with Pastor Rick Stauffer officiating. Friends are welcome to meet directly at church.
Burial will take place in Holy Trinity Lutheran Cemetery next to her husband.
