Marlene Mae Sherman, 75, of Hermitage, passed away on Saturday June 3rd, 2017 in the Grove at New Wilmington.
Marlene was born on November 26th, 1941 to Michael J. and Katherine (Klein) Antus in Sharon, PA. She graduated from Hickory High School. Marlene worked as a Janitress for the Sharpsville School District. On April 18th, 1958 she married her husband, William C. Sherman, who survives at home. Marlene and Bill shared 59 years of marriage together.
She was a member of Notre Dame Church in Hermitage, PA. She enjoyed flower gardening, watching birds and wildlife, rides in the country, antiquing, country music, had an appreciation for Amish lifestyle and culture, watching Dancing With The Stars, going to lunch with her sisters, dinner with her husband, and was an avid Pittsburgh Penguins and steelers fan. She also was proud and followed her sons athletic careers and staying in touch with her daughters.
Marlene is survived by her loving husband William, daughters, Beth Ann (Craig) Briggs of Queensbury, NY, Jamie L. Sherman of Niles, OH, sons, William C. (Donna) Sherman Jr. of Hermitage, Michael J. (Sheri) Sherman of West Middlesex, PA, sisters, Dolores Carroll of Hermitage, Jane Crissman of West Middlesex, Eileen (Kenneth) Zagger of Hermitage, brothers, Tyrone Antus of West Middlesex, Richard (Sandy) Antus of Hermitage, 6 grandchildren, Warren Sherman, Taylor Sherman, Morgan Sherman, David Haque, Levi Sherman, and Chloe Sherman.
She was preceded in death by father, Michael J Antus, mother, Katherine Antus, sisters, Patty Dzurinda, Joan Miller, and an infant grandson Billy Joe Sherman.
Friends may call Thursday, June 8th, 2017 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Stephen J. Sherman Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 2201 Highland Rd. Hermitage, PA.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 9th, 2017, 11:00 am in the Stephen J. Sherman Funeral Home, Hermitage, PA, with Father Thomas Whitman, officiating.
Burial will take place in Morefield Cemetery.
