Marlene Emma (Baum) Young

Marlene Emma Young, 80 of Hermitage passed away peacefully on Monday June 29th, 2026 in St. John XXIII Nursing Home.

Marlene was born January 5th, 1946 to Regina (McDaniel) and John August Baum in Johnsonburg, PA. She graduated from Johnsonburg High School. On February 3rd, 1979 she married her husband, Jacob C. Young who survives at home.

She was affectionately known as a homemaker who always put her family first. Marlene also helped with the family business Youngs Vending.

Marlene is survived by her husband, Jacob Young, children, Brian (Jody) Klase, Kelly Klase Young Haywood, Perry (Debbie) Young, Scott Young, grandchildren, Jacob Haywood, Emma Haywood, Sophie Klase, Carson Klase, Aaron Young, Ashley Morris, Alicia Rabich, Jesse Young, and 7 great grandchildren. Also surviving are her siblings, Patricia Nystrom and Timothy (Gloria) Baum.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Buzzy Baum, sister, Carol Notarianni, and son, Glen Young.

Friends are welcome to gather at St. Bartholomew Church shortly before Mass.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday July 7th, 2026 at 11:00 am in St. Bartholomew R.C. Church 311 Ridge Ave. Sharpsville, PA with Father John Miller officiating. Friends are welcome to meet directly at church.

Burial will take place in Hillcrest Cemetery.
