Martha Ledden Obituary
Martha Ledden, 95, of Doylestown, passed away on Sunday February 19th, 2017 at the Doylestown Health Care Center Doylestown, OH.
Martha was born on March 6th, 1921 to George and Martha (Virostick) Holup in Sharon, PA. She graduated from Sharon High School class of 1939. Martha was a homemaker. In 1940 she married her husband, the late Bruce E. Ledden who passed away November 12th, 2004.
She was a lifelong member of St. Michael Byzantine Catholic Church in Hermitage, PA where she was also a member of the Holy Rosary Society.
Martha is survived by her daughter Marcia Ledden of Deland, FL, sons, Dennis B. (Yong Hui) Ledden of Butler, PA, Roy E. (Marylou) Ledden of Doylestown, OH, grandchildren, Lisa Gaskell, Beth Myers, Christine Molinski, Timothy Ledden, Brian and Alicia Ledden, and eleven great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by father, George Holup, mother, Martha Holup, husband, Bruce E. Ledden, daughter, Lorraine Ledden, grandchild Joseph Cognata, grandchild, Adam Gaskell, sisters, Katherine Jacobson, Helen Charles, Mary Lou Freeburg, Anne Ristvey, brothers, Nickolas Holup and Michael Holup.
Friends may call Saturday, February 25th, 2017 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at Stephen J. Sherman Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 2201 Highland Rd. Hermitage, PA.
Panachida prayer service will be held at 12:00 pm in the funeral home before Funeral Divine Liturgy.
Funeral Divine Liturgy will be held on Saturday, February 25th, 2017, 12:30 pm at St. Michael Byzantine Catholic Church Hermitage, PA with Father Kevin Marks, officiating.
Burial will take place in St. Michael Byzantine Catholic Cemetery.
