Mary Louise (Teague) Pelsh

Mary Louise Pelsh, 99 of Hermitage passed away peacefully on February 7th, 2026 in UPMC Hospital Farrell, PA.

Mary Lou was born December 25th, 1926 to Estelle (Copenhaver) and George Teague in Sharon, PA. She was a graduate of Sharon High School and worked for the former Shenango Inn. She married her husband, the late John Pelsh who passed away in 1986.

She was a member of St. John’s Episcopal Church in Sharon, PA where she enjoyed volunteering in church events like their Rummage Sale and Food Pantry. She was an avid bridge player, word puzzles, and games of any kind. In her younger years she liked ice skating at the park and dancing with her husband at the University Club. Mary Lou also enjoyed walking in Buhl Park, was an excellent baker, and known to always be thoughtful and kind. Most important to her was spending time with her children, granddaughters, and great granddaughters.

Mary Lou is survived by her sons, John F. (Elisabeth) Pelsh of Fair Oaks, CA, Bruce Pelsh of Hermitage, PA, granddaughters, Lindsay (Brandon) Shaver, Allison (Eric) Gantz, great granddaughters, Emilie, Aubrie, and Lydia.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband John Pelsh, daughter in law, Christina Andrea Pelsh, sisters, Edna Moss, Florence Conner, Claribelle Holten, brothers, Edward Teague, and Thomas Teague.

Per her wish, private services will be held.

Burial will take place in Oakwood Cemetery next to her husband.
