Mary Jane Fair Obituary
Mary Jane Fair, 74, of Sharpsville, passed away peacefully on Thursday April 19th, 2018 at John XXIII Nursing Home in Hermitage, PA.
Mary Jane was born on March 24th, 1944 to George William and Mary Jane (Greggs) Achenbach in Sharpsville, PA. She was a Sharon High School graduate. Mary Jane worked for the Sharon Store and when her children were older she worked as a caregiver, most recently 7 ½ years at Ridgewood Assisted Living until her retirement in 2008. On April 11th, 1964 she married her husband Edwin Gifford Fair, who survives at home.
She was a lifelong member of Eastside Church and enjoyed crocheting, making crafts, reading, gardening, and was an avid NASCAR and Pittsburgh Penguins fan. Most important to Mary Jane was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren who were very dear to her.
Mary Jane is survived by her husband Edwin G. Fair daughters, Amy Fair of Sharpsville, PA, Beth (Max) Stephens Jr. of Sharpsville, PA, 3 grandchildren, Matthew, Caitlin, and Ryan Stephens, and aunt, Eileen Dias. Also survived by Kris Barkley, who she loved like a daughter, and many nieces and nephews that she loved very much.
She was preceded in death by father, George William Achenbach, mother, Mary Jane Achenbach, and 7 siblings, George Achenbach, Betty Rhoades, William Achenbach, Shirley Murray, Kenneth Achenbach, Mabel Williams, and James Achenbach.
Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
Burial will take place in Americas Cemetery.
