Michele Stigliano of Hermitage passed away peacefully at home, with her family by her side on Saturday January 23rd, 2016. She was 51.
Michele was born on February 14th, 1964 in Warren, OH, daughter of Ronald and Elaine (Kouloumondros) Mauri. She graduated from Howland High School in 1982, where she was a cheerleader and on the track team. She matriculated to Ohio Northern University and earned her pharmacy degree in 1987. Michele worked for Greenwood Pharmacy, which at the time, was owned by her father in law Richard Stigliano. She also worked for Thrift, Eckerd, NCS, The Medicine Shoppe, Giant Eagle, The Medicine Place, and Valley Pharmacy where she loved her work the most. On May 27th, 1989 she married her husband Randy Stigliano, who survives at home. Michele had two beautiful children, Angela Maria who was born February 7th, 1991 and Dino Maurice who was born on November 19th, 1992. Her greatest joy in life was raising her two wonderful children. She was a homeroom mom throughout her children’s grade school years and a helped at the Notre Dame Sunday School for 6 years. She volunteered for Meals On Wheels with her good friend Paula Lyons for 7 years. Michele was a Girl Scout leader for many years and a member of the Hickory High School Football Boosters, she also volunteered for the Hickory High School Varsity Softball Team. She volunteered her time at the Trumbull County Dog Shelter and for the Hermitage Goodfellows on Christmas Eve.
Michele loved traveling, fitness running, riding her motorcycle, and reading. She was a strong, independent person who loved animals and the outdoors. She loved everyone who touched her life.
She leaves her husband Randy, 2 children Angela and Dino, her parents Ronald and Elaine Mauri, sister Marisa Kontos wife of Judge Peter J. Kontos, brother, James husband of Magda Mauri, her in laws Renee Stigliano, Richard and Ann Stigliano, brother in laws Richard and his wife Katey Stigliano, Jerry Stigliano, 2 aunts, Jeanne Williams and Fran Kay, uncle, Steve Kay, 2 cousins, Dawn Scialabba and Thomas Williams. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews, Helena and Demi Kontos, Ellen, Emma and Ginger Gerasimick, Peter and William Stigliano, Angelo and Vincent Mauri.
Per her wishes there will be no calling hours and a private Funeral Mass.
Burial will take place in St. Rose Cemetery.
