Patricia "Patty" A. (Genger) Meise

Patricia “Patty” A. Meise, born July 22nd, 1933, passed away on January 2nd, 2025 after a period of declining health.

Patty was born at home to Raymond (Buck) and Wilma Genger. She was also the granddaughter to Alva and Jessie Genger who helped raise her.

Patty graduated from West Middlesex High School in 1951. She then attended Sharon General Hospital School of Radiology and worked there as an X-ray tech for 7 years. She later retired from the West Middlesex High School District after working in the office for 11 years.

Patty married Thomas Hutchison in 1954 and together they had 2 children, Thomas (Holly) Hutchison of Centerville, Ohio, and Karen (Jeff) Hoovler of Hermitage.

 She later remarried Dr. William Meise in 1981 and together they took many wonderful trips until he passed away in 1994.

Patty was an avid golfer playing well into her 80’s and over the years belonged to several golf leagues.

One of her greatest pleasures was attending sporting events of her grandchildren Mitchell, Blake, and Alexis Hutchison. She was so proud of them all.

Patty was a lifelong member of the West Middlesex United Methodist Church and enjoyed singing in the choir.

Patty is survived by her children, sister Donna (Victor) Cid, and stepdaughters Suzanne (David) Park, and Sally (Terry) Moldovan.

The family would like to thank Ridgewood at Shenango Valley and Gentiva Hospice for their loving care.

In lieu of flowers, a donation may be given to those organizations or a charity of the donor’s choice.

Per her wishes, there will be no calling hours.
