Peter J. Yurchisin passed away on September 8th, 2024 in Farrell, PA.
Peter “Pete” was born in Sharon, PA on August 15, 1944 to Mary L. (Liptak) and Pete Yurchisin and was raised in Patagonia. He attended Hickory schools, but his senior year he moved to Sharon and became a Sharon High School graduate.
On June 21, 1974, he married Judith A. (Rudolph). Pete was a member of St. Michaels Byzantine Church. He worked in multiple area mills before selling cars for Hofius Chevrolet in Sharpsville. In 1980 he and his wife purchased the GMC truck dealership in Greenville, which he operated until 1984. Pete then relocated to Sharon and opened Pete’s Auto Sales on East State Street. He owned and operated Pete’s Auto Sales until his retirement when he sold the business.
Pete is survived by his wife, Judith Yurchisin of Masury, OH, sister, Mary (Robert) Polochak of South Pymatuning, PA, God son, Ronald (Chris) Polochak, God daughter, Kristy (David) Johnson.
He was preceded in death by his parents and step- son, Richard Jackal.
A memorial mass will be held on September 18, 2024, at 11:00 am in the St. Michael’s Byzantine church, for anyone who would like to attend.
Interment will take place in Brookfield Cemetery.
