Phyllis Marie Amon, 92, of Beaver Falls, passed away 1:40 am on Tuesday September 22nd, 2015 at the Good Samaritan Hospice Facility in Beaver, PA following a brief illness.
Phyllis was born on November 24th, 1922 to Fred and Ruth (King) Leipheimer in Sharon, PA. She graduated from Sharon High School class of 1940. Phyllis worked most recently at Daffins Candies. In her earlier years she worked at Taylor Supply Publishing Company in Baton Rouge, LA; The Sharon Store in Sharon, PA; and Strouses Department Store in Youngstown, OH. On May 7th, 1942 she married the late George Allen Amon in Brooke, WV, who passed away July 7th, 2010.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Sharon, PA and past president of the Shenango Valley JR Women.
Phyllis is survived by her 2 daughters - Linda (John) Schweich of Beaver, PA, Janet (Charles) Fryman of Hermitage, PA; 5 Grandchildren - Todd Fryman, Amy Fryman, Abigail Fryman Cannone, McKenzie Fryman Ngai, Nicholas Schweich; also surviving are 6 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by father, Fred Leipheimer, mother, Ruth Leipheimer, husband, George Allen Amon, and sister, Shirley Walker.
Per her request there will be no services.
Interment will take place in Americas Cemetery Hermitage, PA.
