Roman Edward "Ed" Gerasimek, 83, of Sharpsville, passed away on Sunday November 25th, 2018 at St. Paul Homes in Greenville, PA.
Ed was born on February 24th, 1935 to John and Josephine (Kruszewski) Gerasimek in Cadiaz, OH. His family moved to Sharpsville when he was young and attended the one room school in Orangeville. He graduated from Sharpsville High School class of 1953. While in school, he worked at LoBlaws and following graduation he went on to work at Packard Electric in warren, OH. He retired in August 1991 after 38 years. Starting as a stock boy he worked his way to general foreman. On August 17th, 1957 he married his wife, Victoria (Hinkson) Gerasimek, who survives at home.
He was a member of First Assembly of God Church in Hermitage, PA. Ed loved fishing and hunting with his two grandsons. He also enjoyed woodworking and traveling in his Winnebago, especially trips to Florida with his family and grandchildren.
Ed is survived by his loving wife, Victoria, daughters, Cheri (Bob) Bibler of Sharpsville, Carol Houck of Clark, grandchildren, Ryan Bibler, Derek Bibler, Kayla Houck, Madison Houck, sister, Mary Ann (John) Dodds of Hermitage, brothers, Leo (Janet) Gerasimek, Paul (Emily) Gerasimek, George (Jane) Gerasimek, Jim (Janice) Gerasimek, all of Sharpsville.
He was preceded in death by father, John Gerasimek, mother, Josephine Gerasimek, brothers, Frank (Bonnie) Gerasimek and Robert Gerasimek.
Friends may call Tuesday, November 27th, 2018 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at SHERMAN Funeral Home 2201 Highland Rd., Hermitage, PA.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 27th, 2018 at 7:00 pm in the SHERMAN Funeral Home, Hermitage, PA, with Pastor Ken Martin, officiating and Pastor Daniel Houck co-officiating.
Burial will take place in Mount Washington Cemetery.
