Ronald Kane Obituary
Ronald H. Kane, 90, of Masury, OH passed away peacefully on Monday September 5th, 2016 at Sharon Regional Health System in Sharon, PA.
Ronald was born on July 20th, 1926 to Lewis F. and Margaret (Scott) Kane in Transfer, PA. He was a veteran who after graduating High School, served in the Army Air Corps during World War II. Ronald worked as a plasterer and contractor, for Greenville Steel Car as a painter, and most recently as a Toll Collector for 20 years with the Ohio Department of Transportation.
He was a life member and past commander of Reynolds VFW Post 7599 during 1968-69 and 1978-79. Ronald was also a member of the American Legion. He enjoyed reading, completing puzzles, and following sports, particularly Notre Dame and the Baltimore Orioles.
Ronald is survived by his daughter Karyl M. Kane of Transfer, PA, 2 sons, Gary H. (Debbie) Kane of Greenville, PA; Ronald L. (Karin) Kane of New Port Richie, FL, 3 step daughters Donna Brophy of Pulaski, PA, Paula Edeburn of Summerville, NC, Wendy Weiser of West Middlesex, PA, a brother Richard L. (Darlene) Kane of Transfer, PA, also surviving are 3 grandchildren Brian P. Kane of Bryson, NC, Amanda Maucere of New Port Richie, FL, Major Steven L. Kane of Kaiserslautern, Germany, and 4 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by father, Lewis F. Kane, mother, Margaret Kane, wife Corrine (Tarr) Kane who passed away March 9th, 1979, wife Donna (Moore) Kane who passed away November 21st, 2011, 2 brothers, Cecil Kane and Kenneth Kane.
Friends may call Thursday, September 8th, 2016, from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm at the Stephen J. Sherman Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 2201 Highland Rd. Hermitage, PA to celebrate Ronald’s life.
Friends are also invited to join the family following calling hours at the Reynolds VFW Post 7599 to share refreshments and fellowship with the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the Reynolds VFW Post 7599 at 115 Edgewood Dr. Greenville, PA 16125, in memory of Ronald.
