Stella (Krenciglova) Kernisky

Stella Kernisky, 97, formerly of Sharpsville, passed away peacefully on Wednesday November 2nd, 2016 in O’Brien Nursing Home, Masury OH.  
  
Stella was born on November 21st, 1918 to John and Dominica (Szuplak) Krenciglova in Cleveland, OH. She graduated from Lincoln High School in Cleveland, OH. Stella worked as a clerk for the Sharon Stores in Sharon, PA. On July 9th,1938 she married the late Peter J. Kernisky, who passed away March 1st, 1997.
  
She was an active member of St. Michael Byzantine Catholic Church. Stella was a member of the St. Michael’s social club, Infant Jesus of Prague Guild, and also helped with the bingo and catering. She also taught CCD for many years. She was a member of the Ukrainian National Association # 230.
  
Stella is survived by her many nieces and nephews.
  
She was preceded in death by father, John Krenciglova, mother, Dominica Krenciglova, husband, Peter J. Kernisky, sister, Nettie Braun, sister, Mary Seichko, brother, Joseph Krenciglova, brother, Andrew Krenciglova, and brother, Bogdan Krenciglova.
  
Friends may call Friday, November 11th, 2016, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm & Saturday, November 12th, 2016 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Stephen J. Sherman Funeral Home & Cremation Service 2201 Highland Rd., Hermitage, PA.
    
Prior to Mass a Panachida prayer service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, November 12th, 2016 in the funeral home.

Funeral Mass of Divine Liturgy will be held on Saturday, November 12th, 2016, 11:30 am at the St. Michael Byzantine Catholic Church Hermitage, PA, with Father Kevin Marks, officiating.
  
Burial will take place in St. Michael Byzantine Catholic Church Cemetery.
