Stephen Mark Kaufman

Stephen Mark Kaufman, 63, of Boardman passed away peacefully on December 24th, 2025 in the Hospice House Poland, OH.

He was born November 26th, 1962 to Donna J. (Tenaglia) and Jerold A. Kaufman in Youngstown, OH. Stephen graduated from Boardman High School class of 1981. After high school, he worked selling automobiles and motorcycles in Phoenix, AZ before starting his career at Thunder Harley-Davidson in 1994 and retiring in 2022 as General Sales Manager of Thunder Harley-Davidson in Sharon, PA.

Steve enjoyed playing darts and pool, riding motorcycles, attending Mecum and Barrett-Jackson auto auctions with his brother, and spending time with friends at local restaurants. He also enjoyed traveling to Indianapolis to spend time with his brother. Steve had many, many friends he considered family in both the Mahoning and Shenango Valleys. He was a Cleveland Browns and Ohio State Buckeye fan. Steve will be fondly remembered as a great friend that was always willing to help out and support others. He was a trusted friend who loved his job and work family at Thunder.

He is survived by his brother, Keith A. Kaufman and spouse Mario E. Ortiz of IN.

Stephen was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Bradley D. Kaufman.

Per his wish no service will be held at this time. A memorial service will be announced at a future date.
