Theresa Boca Obituary
Theresa P. Boca, 89, of Sharpsville, passed away peacefully 5:45 am on Tuesday November 10th, 2015 at Countryside Convalescent Home in Mercer, PA.
Theresa was born on June 29th, 1926 to Sebastian and Maria Develli in Italy, she became an American Citizen on February 1st, 1943. Theresa graduated from Wilmore Beauty Academy in 1965. She was owner and beautician at Theresa Boca Beauty Shop in Sharpsville. On June 5th, 1947 she married the late Angelo A. Boca who passed away November 16th, 2006.
She was a lifelong member of St. Bartholomew’s Roman Catholic Church in Sharpsville, PA. Theresa loved walking in Buhl Park and swimming at the Buhl Club with a ladies group. She was an excellent cook and baker, known for her pasta.
Theresa is survived by her daughter - Theresa "TJ" (Rohn) Bertoldi of Houston, TX; 2 sons - Frank A. (Denise) Boca of Clark, PA, Lawrence (Susan) Boca of Sharpsville, PA; sister - Mary (Ted) Wlodarski of Labonia, MI; 10 Grandchildren - Tim Boca, Kaylyn (Brad) Berkstresser, Kelly (Jason) Slemmer, Brady (Jessica) Boca, Miranda Boca, Tiffany Bertoldi, Nicole Bertoldi, Carla (Jimmy) Hartman, Jason Prosser, Jennifer Prosser-Isaacs; also surviving are 6 great grandchildren and her dear friend, Donna Gory Fain .
She was preceded in death by father, Sebastian Develli, mother, Maria Develli, husband, Angelo A. Boca, daughter, Kathleen Prosser, son, Anthony M. Boca, brother, Gabriel Develli, and sister, Josephine D'Avelli Colapietro.
Friends may call Thursday, November 12th, 2015 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Stephen J. Sherman Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 2201 Highland Rd. Hermitage, PA.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, November 13th, 2015, 11:00 am at St. Bartholomew Roman Catholic Church, Sharpsville, PA, with Father Matthew Strickenberger, officiating.
Burial will take place in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be sent to St. Bartholomew Roman Catholic Church 311 Ridge Ave. Sharpsville, PA 16150 in memory of Theresa.
